An unforgettable design and feature set

In 2019, when we released our first collection of mechanical watches we led the line with our A12 Dirty Dozen - an homage to the iconic field watches of WWII. While it was a huge success, with a starting price of $899 it was much more expensive than most "set-it-and-forget-it" field watches. Our goal with the C3 Korean Field is to bridge that gap - offering an equally durable wristwatch with a similarly compelling (if often overlooked) historical reference at a much more accessible price-point.

Vaer has always been an ocean-based brand. Headquartered half a mile from the Pacific coastline, we view water resistance not merely as a hypothetical "nice-to-have," but as a functional everyday necessity. While all Vaer watches are guaranteed waterproof, the C3 is particularly well suited to extended ocean adventures, boating trips, and overland backpacking due to the extreme accuracy of quartz powered watches. While the Vaer mechanical A5 and A7 collections offer elevated technical craftsmanship, the C3 quartz are the best set-it-and-forget option for outdoor use.  

Reverence for American craft & military history

The C3 Korean Field is powered by our best-selling FTS Ameriquartz 6130 HT quartz movement, which offers both higher torque and longer battery life than the comparable Swiss quartz Ronda 713 movement. Every watch is hand-assembled and water-tested in the United States. As a subtle reference to the watch's historical connection to the Korean War, the caseback on this model features a unique engraving. Replacing the Vaer logo at the center is an etching of the Korean Peninsula which serves as a reminder of the sacrifice and commitment of thousands of allied soldiers who served in the conflict, and the countless casualties resulting from the war. Encircling the engraving are the watch's technical specifications, stylized to match the lettering of the Korean War Veterans Memorial in Washington D.C..
