Building around the proportions of our popular 40mm field case, the R1 Rally delivers a heavy dose of retro charm in a compelling all-purpose tool watch package.
The R1 Tactical delivers on a simple proposition - blend the very best aspects of our top selling PVD field watches with the added function, flair (and lume glow) of our chronograph timekeepers.
The R1 Oceanracer blends the colorful vintage dial of our chrono designs with the rugged in-water functionality of our bestselling divers. This design will be available in 38mm and 42mm sizing.
"The R1 is unique because it's the only chronograph on the market that's both assembled in the USA, and truly meant for everyday ocean use."

Frequenty Asked Questions
We appreciate you registering your interest in early bird access for our upcoming R1 release. We realize that you may still have questions related to the specs, and differences between the 3x new options. We will be providing more details (and videos) as we get closer to our official launch date.
Are there any functional differences between the 3x new designs?
The new R1 models will have the same movement (Seiko VK63 meca-quartz) and durability specs as our core R1 collection: 10ATM + screwdown crown, domed sapphire crystal, 20mm lugs, USA assembly. The R1 Tactical will have significantly stronger lume glow than all other models, and is the best choice for those that value high-impact lume performance.
Are these new watches cross compatible with my existing Vaer bracelets?
If you already own a steel bracelet for one of our 40mm Vaer field watches (S5, C5, A5) it will fit on the R1 Rally, and Tactical models. If you own a bracelet for a 38mm or 42mm D4, DS4, or DS5 diver it will fit on the similarly sized R1 Ocean Racer.
Does the R1 Oceanracer have a fixed or rotating bezel?
The R1 Oceanracer has a 120-click uni-direction anodized aluminum bezel. The bezel can be used for tracking a second timezone (GMT), as a rudimentary dive timer (by tracking 5-minute intervals), or as added helpful reference in telling the current time.
Where in the USA are these watches being assembled?
As a major launch, these watches are being assembled by multiple assembly teams. The R1 Rally watches are being assembled in Rhode Island, the R1 Ocean Racers are being assembled in Arizona, and the R1 Tactical is being assembled in Los Angeles.
