INSPIRATION: In building the C3 Design Navy our goal was to reference the very best modern European design watches, while also further establishing a distinct and modern Vaer aesthetic. This watch's dark navy dial design and green-tinted Arabic numerals deliver a splash of color to the C-series lineup - including at night, thanks to a heaping portion of top-grade lume paint. You can absolutely swim, surf, snorkel, scuba do anything else in-water with your Vaer watch. If you didn't know it already - ALL Vaer watches include a waterproof warranty. Which is our way of saying, if you can flood it, we'll replace it (as long as your crown is sealed and your within your 2 year warranty).

Please note, however, that our metal bracelets are custom-fit to each specific watch case due to the precision form-fit of the end-links (where the bracelet meets the case). These are not interchangeable with other watch models or third-party bracelets.

We came up with the name "Vaer" in the summer of 2016, about six months after starting the company. The name is our invention, created to be unique, easily identifiable, and meaningful—qualities that were critical for securing a trademark and building a recognizable brand.
While Vaer is deeply rooted in American identity, we also wanted a name with universal appeal that didn’t tie the brand to any specific nationality. Inspired by horology’s strong European heritage and our personal interest in 20th-century European modernist design, we drew inspiration from a variety of languages across the region.

"I ordered the 36mm and paid extra $100 for the Jubilee bracelet. The bracelet does not have enough adjustability to fit my 6. 25" wrist correctly. I can get the bracelet to fit my wrist however, due to the lack of adjustability or additional links to be taken out, I cannot get the clasp to line up in the center. I suggest people with smaller wrists to not get the bracelet especially if they are OCD like me about getting the right fit."

I thought I would never wear the khaki band, but it’s now my go to. It has a metallic sheen that makes it pop with the watch. The blue silicone band is also very good looking on account of being a dark navy, much darker than what most companies will sell as ‘’navy”. The watch face is spectacular in the sunlight. A beautiful blue that reflects its color well without making it hard to read. Time keeping is accurate. Screw down crown solid. Also appreciate that Vaer uses a 20mm band for a 36mm watch. I have a 6. 3” wrist and the smaller case with the 20mm band is a great combo. I’ll reach back out if any issues arise."

Sapphire crystal, screw-down crown and back with great water resistance specs, quartz accuracy, solar power, great lume, no complications, good field-style look. Bonus is what I believe to be an anti-reflection coating that gives light- blue glints when the sun hits just right. If I were to change anything, it would be one thing only and it's because my eyes aren't the best. I would probably shorten the hour-hand slightly to better differentiate it. If your eyes are good you will better see the skinny metallic extended parts of the hands and you probably wouldn't have this recommendation. Very pleased. Highly recommended. Vaer does well to ensure each watch model has at least the minimum attributes mentioned above (except solar and quartz if you prefer something else).
